Screening Training (3 hours)
Learning Outcomes
• develop an understanding of the statutory requirements for screening,
• provide advice about policy screening
• develops skills in particular to carrying out screening.
Outline of the session
• The legislative framework
• Screening - the basics (What is screening? What does screening involve?)
• Screening - the process (How is screening carried out?)
• Groupwork on a set of practical examples.
• Conclusions
Audience
This course is for staff working at senior level in BSO and its partner organisations, who are policy/decision makers.
Equality Impact Assessment Training (3 hours)
Learning Outcomes
• Demonstrate an understanding of what the law states on EQIAs
• Demonstrate an understanding of the EQIA process and it's key challenges.
• Demonstrate basic skills in carrying out an EQIA

• EQIAs the basics, (What is an EQIA? Why undertake an EQIA?)
• EQIAs - the processes (Based on a case study)
• Conclusions
